Kudu Horns and Oryx Horns - Outpost Original supports the conservation and protection of Africa’s wildlife.

Antelopes such as the gemsbok (oryx) and kudu continue to thrive in the protected wildlife reserves of the African savannah. To maintain the delicate natural balance between the animals and their habitat, park and government authorities undertake a controlled annual culling of the populations. The sale of hides and horns from this culling generates income which is used to sustain the conservation program.

Outpost Original imports only certified horns from reputable tanneries and hunters. The oryx and kudu horns we supply are from older adult males and females, the age of the animal is evident in the length and spirals or notches of the horn. Each turn of the kudu horn indicates approximately 7 years of life.
